Preserve the Sacred Land Sanctuary— A Legacy for Future Generations
Â
Dearest Way of Nature Community,
For over four decades, the Sacred Land Sanctuary in Crestone, Colorado, has been a place of profound healing, transformation, and connection to the natural world. This sanctuary has welcomed thousands of seekers, healers, and wisdom keepers, serving as a sacred refuge for deep communion with nature, earth-centric spirituality, and personal renewal.
Today, this sacred land is at a pivotal crossroads. We have a rare and urgent opportunity to acquire multiple adjacent parcels near the existing Sanctuary, safeguarding them from invasive development and ensuring their continued existence as places of peace, sanctuary, and transformation.
But we cannot do this alone. We need your help.
With your generous support, we can permanently protect this land within the growing Sacred Land Sanctuary—now spanning over 240 acres of pristine wilderness and home to over 2,000 ancient stone meditation seats, diverse biomes, and thriving wildlife habitats.

The Rights of Nature: A Sacred Duty to Protect What Sustains Us
The Sacred Land Sanctuary is more than a refuge—it is a living, breathing entity with inherent rights that must be upheld. The Rights of Nature movement recognizes that ecosystems, rivers, forests, and sacred lands are not mere property to be exploited—they are living beings with the right to exist, thrive, and regenerate.
Across the world, indigenous traditions and forward-thinking communities are leading a paradigm shift: from treating nature as a resource to honoring it as a sovereign life force. Crestone itself has been at the forefront of this movement, recognizing the sanctity of this land and its planetary significance in maintaining ecological and energetic balance.
By protecting the Sacred Land Sanctuary, we are taking a stand for the rights of rivers to flow freely, the rights of wildlife to live undisturbed, and the rights of future generations to inherit a thriving, unspoiled Earth. When we honor the land’s intrinsic sacredness, we participate in a global movement to restore balance between humanity and the natural world.
Why This Matters Now
We live in a time of unprecedented environmental destruction. Sacred lands everywhere are being desecrated, developed, and lost forever. Once gone, these spaces cannot be restored. The Sacred Land Sanctuary is a pristine, untouched spiritual ecosystem—a rare jewel in our world where nature and spirit are seamlessly intertwined.
If we do not act now, this irreplaceable land could be lost to commercial interests, forever disrupting the delicate harmony that has existed here for thousands of years. This is our moment to protect what is sacred.
Your Role in This Sacred Mission
We invite you to be part of this legacy. Every donation—large or small—directly contributes to the permanent protection of this land. If you can give $100 or more today, you will ensure that this sanctuary remains a place of healing, wisdom, and transformation for generations to come.
Please Click Here to make a tax-deductible donation to the WoN Foundation (a 501(c)3 non profit). 100% of all donations will go toward the purchase of this sacred parcel of land. Your employer may match your donation—double your impact!
Together, we are not just preserving land—we are upholding a sacred covenant with nature. Let us stand as guardians of the Earth, honoring its rights, protecting its beauty, and ensuring that future generations can experience its profound healing power.
With deep gratitude and reverence,
The Way of Nature Foundation

“The unmodified, uncorrected Nature of Mind is Liberated by its being allowed to simply remain in its own original and natural condition.”
~ Padmasambhava, Founder of Tibetan Buddhism
Over the past few years, the Way of Nature Foundation has been successful in securing 2 very important 40-acre parcels adjacent to the Sacred Land Sanctuary for preservation and stewardship, including the 20-acre parcel mentioned in last year's appeal. We are grateful to everyone who has given generously of their time, finances and energy to support our efforts to preserve this sacred land.
We couldn't do this without you!
